Just a heads up to anyone planning on fitting a GSA screen to their GS, make sure you order the rubber grommets, as the GSA screen has larger holes than the standard GS screen.:rob:thumb

Should give a bit more wind protection.:beerjug:

Can't you use the grommets from the original screen?

I'm looking forward to hearing how much it flaps about at speed! :)

The original screen didn't come with the grommets, as the holes are smaller and don't need them. This is on the 2014 model, so they may have modified the screens on the latest revision.:P

How much was that? Is it worth the money?

£185 with discount. Will test it out at the weekend.:thumb

I don't think any farkle is worth the money, they are all overpriced but it doesn't stop us.

It's an addiction!:comfort:D

Nutty, is there any 'different' side winglets on the gsa to suit the screen?????????

I don't know if the GSA winglets will fit the regular GS, but I'm sure there will be some aftermarket ones available soon, if they don't.

Nutty, are you able to post a picture from further back/different angle so I can see the full Farkellian effect?

I was only thinking whether it was possible to fit the GSA screen.
I've got the Powerbronze tinted screen, but its still not wide enough for my manly chest and the wind still catches me on the tops of my arms and shoulders.

Are there measurements for the GSA screen anywhere - I'd like to compare the size against the Powerbronze before spending the cash.

Did it come tinted?

So is there a problem with the wind protection with the standard screen ? I thought this was are area that was much improved on the WC ?

I've got the Givi screen and find it really good. I'm 6'4" so it should be even better for those a bit shorter. It was massive improvement over the stock GS screen. I have the 2014 GS and mine had grommets that I had to transfer to the new screen.
I've also fitted the Givi hand guard extenders and they also help deflect a lot of wind away from my arms and shoulders.

Standard screen is the best fitted to a GS so far but there is always room for improvement :D:D

MRA on mine for under £100 ;)

Never been keen and trying to turn a GS into a GSA :augie

I'll take some measurements when I get a minute. It came tinted.:thumb

It depends what helmet you wear. When I wear a peaked helmet, I get some buffeting, but when I wear my Schuberth, I don't get any. As you can move the screen down with the wheel, in the low position it looks smaller.

Looks very similar to the Puig screen, which is very well made and only £85 (and sitting in my spare bedroom with no bike to fit it to for a month or so yet)

Depends how tall/wide you are, for me is as good as the screen on the RT. But than I am the size of an ninja:D

No problem with the standard screen myself, but Joanne experiences heavy buffeting at speed so I think we might have to give the adventure screen a try.
It worked on the last one.

How tall are you ? The superior screen is one of the main attractions to me over the twin cam so I'm slightly shocked that people are starting to sling the GSA screens on the bike. I've got an aftermarket screen on mine but the GSA version looks odd on a standard GS IMO.

I'm 5'10. I've had the GSA screen on three previous GS's. The standard screen is very good, until you use a Tour X4.

The picture of it on the bike in the garage doesn't do it justice, it looks great in the flesh.

I'm 5'10 but with short legs, so I think that means I am 6'2 in the body :D

The standard screen is OK, with comparable noise levels to most of my previous faired bikes. However, with the screen on its highest setting, I can just duck down an inch or two and get into really nice, quiet air. With the GS being my tourer, I'd like to have this level of comfort without having to spend hours in a semi-sportsbike hunch. So for me, the standard screen but with an extra 2" of height sounds like perfection.
