Fitting an auxhilliary tachometer to 1989 R100GS

All,

Can anyone help, I have bought an OEM Pod with a tacho in it to attach to my GS but it came with no instructions - does anyone know how to fit one? I am assuming the red wire is +ive, the black -ive and the yellow is the trigger wire - where does the trigger wire go, is it to the coil or is it inductive and just lies along the HT lead?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Normally has a connector on the end and simply plugs and play in the headlight unit. If no plug, maybe find where it does plug into the it should be self explanatory ( if this makes sense ) !

There should be a small round connector somewhere inside the headlamp housing,
Looks like this.
Q tech do a connector to match it if you can’t find one elsewhere
