Fitting autocom into flip-front BMW helmet

Does anyone know the best way to secure an autocom unit into a helmet.

I've fitted two helmets with autocoms however find that the boom keeps coming loose. Is there a glue that can be used - I don't want to melt the foam.

Any advise appreciated.

Have you tried fixing the boom and wires to the (inside of the) helmet?

Clear silicone sealant......shouldn't melt anything and when it sets it should be flexible enough to survive the little shocks and vibrations.

Make sure you don't glue in any bits of helmet that are designed to be removed for washing though....BTDT



PS make sure it sets and dries completely......silicone sealant is an irritant and it'll make your eyes itch like hell.

Use the other microphone in a flip front not the boom type.
