Thinking of purchasing a fenda extenda to protect header pipes over the winter , from what i can gather most people seem to remove the front wheel to fit them , is there any other way , can they be carefully drilled with the wheel on or is there any way product thats strong enough to just stick them on ?

No need to remove wheel, there's plenty of room to fit with it on.

IIRK, they come with sticky pads and self-tapping screws. I bedded mine on silicon sealant just to stop crud from accumulating in the join.

Easy peasy job. :thumb

It's easy enough to do on the bike, remember to drill pilot holes. And take your time.

But be aware of where the drill is going to exit :augie

Top tip ...

... use a battery powered drill, a little less ferocious :thumb2

Put a piece of wood or metal between the mud-guard and the tyre to stop you drilling into it.

:rob

easy job to do, turn wheel one way for access to one side and screw, turn and do same for other side, as previous, do not put drill bit through your finger or your tyre!!!
