Got the gaiters.

Got the BMW repair cd manual.

Looked at how to remove the front forks.

:eek: :gosh :eek: :gosh :eek: :gosh :eek:

Remove handlebars, front mudguard, front brake, front wheel, etc etc etc

The handlebar & front brake bits I can see, as you need to get to the pinch bolts and the brake line won't stretch if you remove the forks with it attached.

I'm assuming the manual thinks you wish to remove one fork, not both at the same time, soooooooooo;

If I was to leave the front wheel and fork brace in-situ,
Support the bike so the fronts raised
"Just" loosen the forks,
Release them (with the help of a responsible adult and some sticky back plastic)
Pop gaiters on,
And reinstall, to correct tightenings etc,
Would that work? :help

Or am I setting myself up for a nasty surprise later on? :confused:

Mechanically a bit nervous when it comes to fiddling with the front of the bike, but realise the more work I do on it, the more confident I'll become.

Ta! :thumb
