Overheating I reckon on a probably defective diode -
The main reason I have not bit the bullet on led is as standard if you have a failure you can get an H7 halogen anywhere for a fiver (or £12 on a cross channel ferry!)
Hopefully you get a replacement easy enough from them - keep us posted
Erm, so surely if you go the led route and it fails you can still replace it with a fiver available anywhere bulb to get you moving again,
I have hids in my gsa low beam and spots, my car low beam and one of my TL's H4s.
I've actually just fitted some 9,000 lumen 6,000k 45 watt H4 led bulbs to one of my TL's, these have the fan on the rear for cooling which is exposed enough on there to do the job, they appear to be as good as the 35w hids on my other vehicles.
How does the cooling effect work on bulbs fitted to a gs/gsa?
I just wondered as they must either be inside the headlight unit or do you guys who have them fitted have the heatsink outside the headlight
I ask because I'm interested in fitting one in my high beam on the gsa and maybe the high on my car
