Fixing a givi rack to a pillion seat

Its not for a gs but a Street triple. For commuting duties and carrying the laptop home I would like to be able to fit a givi rack where the pillion normally seats.

There are some 5mm nut holes under the seat to which I could attach some straps if I could find something to hold the givi rack with. Does anyone have any advice about what I could use.

The other option is simply do drill a hole or two into the seat but then would be ruining the seat which I do not at the moment want to do.

On various bikes, other people have bought a 2nd hand seat from a breakers and bolted the GIVI plate to it.
