Fixings for panels

Hi All,

I notice that some bikes have "quickly detachable" fixings for the plastic Tank panels.
My bike doesn't (See photo)
Does anyone know if the quick detach fixings are available to retro fit (Will they fit?)

I think the quick release are on the 04 to 08 models only but I may be wrong

You should be able to get some Dzus fasteners to fit. Check the screw lengths.

Personally I wouldn't use Dzus fasteners unless I was going to remove the panels almost weekly, and at the roadside. I agree they look nice but I think there's a risk of panels rattling as they aren't a great fit (on my bike) to start with. If this cosmetics that you're after try chrome plated domed Allen screws?

May well look at the domed headed fasteners as suggested.

I have some flanged dome socket heads. They use a very small hex key and are a pain to use compared to the OEM Torx heads. Ive since replaced the missing screws with OEM.

Dzuz are ok but as @Greenman14 says they have to be exactly the right length. They are used on aircraft panels so can't be "too" bad for reliability.
