Flickering HID

Just wired up a couple of second hand HID spot lights, relay primary power switched source from headlight low beam, secondary power from fused battery spur. When I start the bike and switch the HIDs on one os OK but the other flickers for a second then goes out.

Have I got a knackered ballast / starter or is there something else that I am missing?

as you have two spots, swap components until the problem is isolated.

Might be your battery don't have enough oomph, If they work independantly of each other then I would say battery might be your issue.

Ballast

I had exactly the same symptoms on my Rallye bike which was using the old type ie not these slim ballasts. I sourced a cheap replacement from the US and it's fine now.
