I'm about to fit an Adv tank with my stock tank internals - by about how much do I need to bend the float arm to get the gauge to read sensibly?

As long as you know how much is in the tank according to the bars on the RID,and how many miles you can do with the light on,it doesn'r matter a toss what everyone else says, because they'll all be different.

Sorted. Bolt on,fill up,feck off:thumb2

Just build the float assembly into the tank and try inverting it, you should be able to hear the float arm hitting its stops, as long as its not sticking build the bike up and fill it from a can making a mental note of the gauge position.

Looks like a power outlet to me. :nenau

I got pissed off riding with the fuel light on more than off :augie
So this is how i moded mine
It works fine

Don't mess about with the float arm just reset the milage trip when you fill up,
do a couple of test rides with a spare can full of gas and see how far you get without running out should be at least 300 miles.

it might fall over..

I love that top box - the amount of stuff you can get in it without upsetting the handling is amazing :)
