Flywheel bolts

Hi all,

I'm going to be remounting the flywheel after replacing the crank shaft seals. How important is to to do the 32 degree thing with the flywheel bolts?

I have three choices, I think:

1. Do them up as per the manual (either using Tsiklonauts method, or buying the appropriate gadget).
2. Do them according to the manual and guestimating the correct angle
3. Do them to the torque setting, then give them an extra nudge and leave it at that.

What does the peanut gallery say?

If it were me and I didn't have an angular torque wotsit, I'd either buy one (not much money in the scheme of things and handy for other stuff on the bike) or make one out of a bit of card.

Does the manual give a torque and then an angle? I come across those quite often, I actually bought a degree pointer that fits on a half inch drive to measure them, then most of the ones I encounter turn out to be either 90 degrees or 180 degrees, both easily judged, why not borrow the kids protractor and mark the angle on some card?

Can't remember the exact numbers, but it's something like torque to 40nm, then tighten to 32 degrees. Think I'll just print the correct angle on a bit of card and gaffer tape it to the wrench.
