OK I wear an Arai Signet GT which I've just replaced with an identical helmet. The first one did around 50,000 miles so I think I've had my monies worth. The visor has lasted the life of the helmet however in February this year I fitted a Fog City Pro-Shield and have found that, just like visors of old, it is susceptible to small scratches which disperse light. The function of the Fog City itself is fantastic and having ridden in some fairly foul weather only snow causes any misting it's just the resistance to scratches that's a problem.
I've just seen the Pinlock system which appeals as the insert is not a permanent fixture and therefore if is scratches faster than the main visor it is easily replaceable.
Now my question; is the Pinlock as effective as the Fog City in keeping a clear view?
Thanks folks.
