Fog lamps

Got a couple of fog lamps fitted as standard to the bike but I mostly use spots.
Are the prism's the same ?
And if are coulld I just change the fog lamp bulbs for spot lamp bulbs ?

Whether it is a spot or a fog is to do with the lense and reflector and not the bulb.

BMW call the standard lights "auxiliary headlights". The beam spread is more like dipped headlight.

LED lamps are now available in 30 degree beam cone close to dip beam spread or flood wide angle cone. I suspect the flood will throw a lot of light upwards and cause dazzle. Perhaps ok if angled well down to give a fog light effect.
