my fog lamp brackets gs1150 adv broke ,as it seems a common problem on the genuine lamps.
The plastic brackets broke on mine, Ifound the top cover is clipped on at the edges,and held with a thin bead of silicone ,which can be released by , wedging a thin 5mm screwdriver under the side of top cover and moving side to side you can feel the silicone break up.
With the cover off i removed the ribs and broken brackets made a ,metal bracket which i secured with 1/8 th rivets and araldite the cover can be thinned by grinding ribs down but b careful not to go too deep,.
with the top cover back on its hard to tell its not standard.
