Foggy FP1

Morning all - I’ve been offered an interesting part exchange on a race car I’m selling (that’s my bread and butter). It’s a Foggy FP1 in bare carbon that is currently undergoing a complete restoration by a guy who has done several of these (so he tells me). It wasn’t something I was overly familiar with but a bit of googling has given a little more insight but absolutely not helped with valuing it.
Anyone come across one before? The last sale I could find online was one that went through H&H for £31k, another did similar money a few years back. Others historically have gone for less but have been untouched after standing for 17 years. My head is screaming run but it’s intriguing!!

Is it a race bike or one of the homologation road bikes? I remember the road bike was launched before the development had been completed at they were plagued by many issues as a result. None of that will necessarily detract from the value though as I guess they are still collectable (just not as collectible as they would have been had they been a good bike as well as rare)

A good question - I think one of the road bikes but not sure. Waiting to hear back on the history

I'd be giving that a wide berth unless it sub £15k

The Kent one looks very optimistically priced! I think on balance I shall be giving it a wide steer

Heart ruled head,
It was lovely,exotic,also had a back story that I won’t go into.
Top and bottom,I lost £6 k
Won’t go there again

That's so true - I have a workshop full of other people's problems!! The car they have offered to px against, whilst being a unique handful of provenance, has a very limited appeal and I'd like to shift it (not least because the wheels & tyres are taking up so much space and so I am sort of guilty of trying to do the same thing!! That said it sounds amazing and I was tempted to run it myself until I discovered a set of tyres is over £2.5k!
