hi all...ive got the standard foot pegs on my gs but find them tiny...
what options are there out there....
something that makes me feel more secure standing on....but not too big to make changing gear tricky...
oh yeah and wont cost me a fortune...
cheers

1) Extreme option.
Cut feet in half.

2) It is a bmw
Very expensive.

3) See if gsa ones are available secondhand on wonderful ukgser website.

Footpegs

I have got GSA ones on my 2012 GS and they do the job perfectly.
Keep an eye on ebay as they do come up occasionally.

I have used F650/800 ones which are much better. Have a look on eBay.

I have a pair of 800GS rests on my GS. Just about perfect. The originals are narrow and nasty.
I got mine from a breaker on eBay. £40 for the pair in excellent condition and a straight fit. The rubbers are removable if you wish.

Its a bugger - the way your left heel rubs a mark on the swing arm , and twats the centre stand tang. Who designed these footegs ? The sleeping beuty with a size three slipper?

Pivotpegz all day. I have them on both my r1200gs and f800gs. Comfortable and not too savage on the boots I fitted with plastic toppers.

I'm very happy with the GS800 pegs as well. Bought them cheap from someone who fitted expensive aftermarked pegs to his new 800 :D

I had SW Motech pegs on my previous bike (Transalp) and liked them so much I bought a pair for the GS. Somehow they're not quite the transformation on the GS that they were on the Transalp which is weird because the standard Transalp pegs are bigger than the standard GS ones.... Different riding position, perhaps.

Anyway, they're good for the money and have removable rubber inserts.

I got them from these people because the exchange rate (pre-Brexit) made that the most economical option but that may have changed now:

found a few on the bay for £69 the pair..with removable rubber inserts....but from china...not that I mind that its just waiting 2 weeks to get them...
ill see how I get on with the standard ones for now....
