Two disadvantages of this system is the belief that you have to lose the bash plate and the centre stand.
1st is true. 2nd can be overcome by cutting off the crosspiece and welding another one lower down the stand. See photo.

Access to the engine for cleaning is fantastic. And since it is in 7 deliciously sprung together bits, it comes off in a jiffy for oil changes.
