The time has come for me to sell this lovely ultra rare in this condition bike which i have owned for 9 or so years now.
The very last of the Iconic 1150's when bikes were built with quality and before the bean counters got involved etc.
I'll stick my neck out now and say this is most likely the best one around, for a 21 year old bike its very very good, i wont use the word immaculate because nothing ever is, pictures to follow shortly.
Its been seen by a few inmates on here at Mikey boys place and also out and about but only on dry sunny days hence its fantastic condition, i think you would struggle to find a better one anywhere.
7600 miles, of which i've done about 5000 of, everything works just as it should and i would happily jump on this tomorrow and ride to Africa..... (with new tyres)
I have the original fold down pannier frames & top box mount, 2 original alloy boxes, Baglux tank cover, a recovered low seat to match the original blue.
12 months mot, new Yuasa battery 2 weeks ago.
Service and new tyres of the next owners choice will be included.
Difficult to put a price on this but forum rules state it must have one , so lets start at £9,000 with offers and see what happens.

Bump.....I think these were about £9.5k new 20 yrs ago. That's c £18k these days. You could buy this at the full asking price, bang on 50k miles over 5 yrs and still get £5k for it....so £800 a year. Makes sense to me if you like the old fashioned but honest nature of the 1150gs.

Lovely bike but you’d only have to put a years worth of mileage on it and it would be worth half that unless you put it into a museum.

I recently found the purchase invoice for my new 1100GS from 1997
It was eye wateringly expensive for that period, makes the R1300 GS seem a bargain in real terms

My July 1999 1100GS was £9,070, that was 27 years ago.
3 weeks later the 1150GS was launched. I remember at the time being pished off as the 1150 was £750 cheaper.
In 1997 my 1100GS was £9752 otr incl 12 months RFL and a full fuel tank, no accessories or heated grips
12 months warranty, plus euro breakdown and full personal accident/health cover in EU,
such was the quality
My 1150's were cheaper in 2000/2002/2004/2005

In 1997 my 1100GS was £9785 incl 12 months RFL and a full fuel tank, no accessories or heated grips
My 1999 1100GS Granada Dakar Limited edition was £9,070 including heated grips, pannier rails and panniers, RFL and fuel.
