Since my last lazy post was so successful, here’s another.

AdventureSpec Mongolia trail jacket, size L.
Worn but good condition, no tears or rips, all the zips work, etc.

It’s the grey colour. If you want a picture, look on the Advspec website - it looks like the one they have there. If you want to know specs, look on the Advspec website.
Armour is included.

This is a £359 retail jacket. I know they are on sale at the moment at £259, but they haven’t got any.

£125, then, is cheap. That’s collected from me in South Oxon, where you are welcome to try it on. £10 more for posted UK.

I’m not answering questions, don’t ask for pics - see above. It’s a good jacket at a bargain price, you want it or you don’t.

A few people have pm’d me with questions and offers.

At that price, no offers.

All I’m looking for is a pm with your name and address, if you would like it posted, and I will send bank details by return. I don’t use PayPal.

Can't believe that, you are refusing to answer any queries a potential buyer may have. I would question how someone can buy with confidence .

OK, I'll answer questions. Price is now £175, though. Although I can't think what questions an actual buyer would have - it's a grey Adv Spec Mongolia jacket, in good condition. What else do would you need to know?

I'm assuming, of course, you are not actually in the market for a jacket, but correct me if I'm wrong.

At least now folk can ask questions as "good condition" is your personal opinion, some buyers may want clarification on this to be clear on what this means to them.

There may also have been some minor changes in spec over the years and buyers may want to know it's age or version to help work this out.

I am in the market for one of these, but not this one, so GLWTS.

If you didn’t want this one, why did you reply to the post?

Your lazy/nonchalant advert will appeal to some, but not to others. The £50 admin fee for answering questions does seem a tad petulant. That said, it’s your jacket so you decide the price.

From the AS website it would appear to be a decent piece of kit, so GLWTS.

Well, you’re not getting it at all. If it doesn’t appeal to you, don’t post about it. If you want a very good jacket at a bargain price, then pm me.

It’s not hard.

I am offering a very good jacket, at a very good price, in exchange for me not having to do much to sell it.
That suits me and results in someone getting a bargain.

The point is, that if I have to write a full description, take pics, answer the mostly pointless questions from people that have no intention of buying, fended off stupid offers, I might as well take the pics and put it on EBay, for more money.

It worked very well the other day when I sold a pair of KTM wheels for a good £100-£200 less than they were worth. Chap pm’d, turned up, paid and left with a new mousse and other bits as well.

Anyway, it didn’t work this time, so item is now withdrawn from sale,

You aren't gonna like this but you did ask.

I was interested in this jacket initially, but when I saw that you were not prepared to answer questions it put me right off.
You made it quite clear that answering any questions about the condition would cost an extra £50, another red flag so to speak. Just felt uneasy about the transaction with the feeling that if there were any problems you would defer to caveat emptor while not giving me the opportunity to determine the quality of the item on sale. They say you buy the seller as much as the item !

Re the KTM wheels, the guy was able to satisfy himself regarding the condition before handing over the wonga so not really a fair comparison.

Hope it works out if you decide to sell by another means.

Why did the wheel buyer leave with hair products?

Or was it a chocolate mousse?

Yep, fortunately for me.
If you say so. You say you wanted a Mongolia jacket, and here’s one in very good condition, at about 1/3 new price, except they are out of stock so you can’t buy one anyway. The nearest equivalent would be something like a Klim induction, current version of which is £500.

Maybe you’ll find another for sale somewhere but if you do I’d be surprised if it’s £125.

So, well done you!

All these questions, you'll be quids in and still have the jacket.
I like your selling ethics, please carry on, I'd have had the wheels but we're not on Oxford for a while and I don't need any more jackets.

Or even £175, red flags from a seller should not be ignored, as I said you buy the seller not just the jacket and I felt it would a risky transaction for the reasons stated.
We will never concur so let's agree to differ.
