A beautiful condition, unadulterated Defender 110.

Originally owned by Countryside Conservation Trust, until I purchased it in January of 2024.

Cars owned by the Countryside Conserv. Trusts are very well maintained by their own mechanics, and do not therefore come with any documentation of the works. But the car speaks for itself and I had no concerns about how it was treated.

Under my ownership, I took it to a Land Rover specialist and had all fluids changed, as well as the wiring for the winch replaced and two new batteries. I had the roof wrapped in black, so that could easily be returned to white should the new owner wish - I also tinted the rear windows for privacy and to keep the heat down in the summer.

The Defender is fitted with a MetaTrak Tracker and Immobiliser, which I could have removed if the new owner did not want it.

Aside from a flat battery the car has never let me down, as is a joy to drive.

I am only selling as I do not get enough use from the car, as the mileage on the MOT history shows. New MOT just last week.

This is a VAT applicable sale, please do not ask me to remove the VAT as I simply cannot. It does however make the care very desirable to be exported or owned by another business.
Test drives welcome, if you would like to drive it, I would need to see proof of comprehensive insurance, you could use a company such as Cuvva for temporary insurance. Otherwise I can drive.

Engine bay shot to prove it's got one haha

£100 for any GS member who links me to a subsequent buyer :) :)

Here is a link with a few more pictures, if there is any areas you think I've missed do let me know:

I did Lanoguard the truck when I took ownership two years ago.

Are you yourself interested, or simply suggesting what I should post?

Thanks!

To be honest, the chassis looks ropey, rust and obvious lack of treatment is probably putting people off.

That seems harsh. Surface corrosion yes but it doesn’t look bad. If I was in the market I’d be getting it ice blasted and treated but expect anyone would.

Land Rover is a decent vehicle if properly maintained. It’s can be a dog if it’s not been looked after.

Look at the photos of the engine bay. The chassis. The front bumper and winch.

Clearly not much effort has gone in to the most basic of ongoing maintenance or even prep for selling.

Take a close look at the images. There’s been a bit of Lanoguard grease dabbed about, but the underlying rust hasn’t been treated. The outriggers are rotten. Yes, an ice blast and a proofing treatment would be the obvious first step, but look at the bigger picture.

If he was struggling to sell, I’d suggest it was because of these areas of obvious neglect, making people wonder about the rest of the vehicle. £500 would have seen it wax oiled or similar, and the bumper and engine bay cleaned and tidied up. That would have given him more bites I suspect.

To me that’s a big red flag I’m afraid.

Sorry, not sorry.

Fair comments I do Suppose though I’m certainly not convinced any part is actually rotten.

I’m always one to present items I’m selling as they are and don’t attempt to hide anything.

Defender had full Lanoguard treatment circa two years ago. Land Rover specialist was happy with it when serviced as I did ask for feedback on the overall condition.
