Hi guys

While in the process of removing a fork oil seal, I have put a couple of scores on the bore where the seal sits, they are not deep scores. Do I just leave them, or give then a light rub with fine wire wool.
Thanks in advance
Amc

No harm to give them a light rub to take off the rough edges. How deep are they? A photo would help! Also, I'd wait for another opinion. I've changed fork seals twice but I'm no expert.

Looks like a screw driver has been used to get the old seal out

I guess you have already assembled and I don't think you will have a problem. In future I would give a smear of non setting sealant on outside edge of seal to be on safe side. http://www.hylomarsealant.com/
