Fork oil

Have used this table in the past for fork oil choice. Eg Showa SS-8 equiv viscosity to Motul factory line 10W

Haynes manual specs BMW telescopic 10W for 2008 GS but I can't find a viscosity measurement. Would prefer to use fork oil I already have if I can rather than buy more from BMW. Does anyone know viscosity of BMW 10W to figure out equivalent? thanks

I thought GS fork oil was for lubrication only and provided no damping ???
