Now before you shoot me down in flames :mcgun hear me out

I recently had to remove my forks... 1150 ADV 2004.... to remove a broken stud in the lower forks.

All work completed and new fork oil added and bottoms of forks repainted :thumb

However... noticed fork oil dripping down the legs today :( I was very carefull when I removed the sliders etc but to be honest I may have mixed up the left and right slider:mmmm

I didn't mark which came out of which side. Now bearing in mind the bike has only done 14k and has not been offroaded... well not this one anyway  should I just swop the sliders over and see how I go or replace the fork seals :nenau

Your ever waiting for sensible reply....

Jon :beerjug:

Replace the seals!

you don't need to remove the forks, just the top yoke fixings to the fork tops and drop the forks away.

Prise out the seals and fit the new ones THE RIGHT WAY UP AY FORRY:D using an old seal to seat them.

Easy peasy:)
