This is an interesting video, and he raises a good point about armour standards being industry regulated which means that protection is limited to whatever the industry finds more profitable. Short version is armour won't protect our brittle bones, despite any market claims (which actually don't state anything different but sell on "levels of protection".
I'll still be wearing my Ghost armour because it's not intrusive, comfortable and may offer better abrasion protection for joints. Air vests seem a great idea, except in the height of a sultry summer.
Yes, I tend to trust Bennetts. That guy does a lot of well considered reviews for both bikes and kit. He makes some very valid points, not least pointing out the title for Fort Nine's vid "Useless" which armour is not!
