I was looking for a small tank bag - small enough not to flop back and forth - big enough for a camera and maybe a fleece and with a map pocket.
Bought one - RKA in California makes some wedge-shaped tankbags that fit nicely on various GS tanks. Wife has one of their flat ones on her S.
www.rka-luggage.com
So far so good - it has tacky rubberized material on bottom which sticks to tank and three point mounting. (they also have 4 point mounting for other shapes of bike)
$100USD for bag plus another fifteen dollars for a rain cover.
Here are some pics
Will commence to test for the next few years
This one is called the 11 liter Shiloh Road...they also have larger ones. Just thought I would throw that out there...I hadn't seen mention of their products before and we have had good luck with the other bag of theirs that we have.
No affiliation with them, etc etc etc
BTW, the large Zarges case is easy-on and off - my BMW dealer refers to my bike as the pickup truck
