I thought they would make a great place to put my bag with my 6 port USB charger and cables on while getting something out of the topbox. Too bad I rode away with the bag sitting on there

To be honest I'm confused by this and the previous comment about the lid being vertical when on the side stand!

For my kitchen-on-the-go I don't need the pannier expanded, just open
