France. Again.

...where I am put on the next departing train at no additional charge (despite being a week early).

A week early...

Jeez things must be bad. :(

Hope you feel better soon. :)

enjoyed that - k replicate something that took a while to get as wanted then taken away through no fault

why not :)

mike - get out there soon when ya feel its right :beerjug:

Home a week early. On a purely selfish level I'm disappointed.

But you gave it a go, you're still intact & gave us a decent (if all too brief) RR with some cracking photos.

Keep The Faith & take care.

I was recently very badly let down by someone I have been involved with for several years.

This isn't the first time it has happened and I can remember feeling just as resolute that this would not happen again several times in the past.

Apparently I don't learn from experience.

Ironically, my last trip to Europe, in November last year, was an attempt to get my head straight about the same issue.

Mike, keep doing what you enjoy and have been doing for more years than you remember

Don't let women fuck with your mind, because they do and it seems that this is getting to you and you've had 2 failed trips now (albeit for different reasons)

Cut her loose and move on, get back to being yourself and enjoying travelling

As ATT regularly says..........................be true, true to yourself:thumb

We like to read of your trips and travels, so get back out there

Apparently they only produced 46 of them in RHD - these are Fraser-Nash BMWs - the LHD ones are merely BMWs :D

Two litre engine - does a surprisingly good 25mpg.

Richard asks an odd question:

"So, what stupid thing did BMW engineers design into your bike?"

I think about it for a second and then told him about the brake servo and it's penchant for not failing "safe". He grins and explains that the 328 had - uniquely for it's time - a steering lock. All these cars now have the lock removed and the hole in the steering column welded up - as it had a habit of failing and locking the steering whilst the car was in motion.

"Nice to see they still seem to have the same design ethic" says David...
