Free DVD ripper till end of October

If anyone uses Mac then HandBrake is always free, and a bloody good bit of software for ripping DVDs / converting video, especially for use with the iPod / iPhone range.

Unable to download it at work, do you know if it expires at the end of Oct or just a free download until then? 
free download expires - software works forever

just tried to download it. The install executable came down and ran OK but at the end of the install I was told the free download expired on October 1st and I now had a choice of paying for it or getting a trial version with only limited functionality. It does at least uninstall cleanly.

Interesting. I downloaded it last night and have just installed it. No warning message about Trial version though. When does that come up

I di the same and when it launches got a message that the trial version woudl only 5 minutes of DVD, and prompting me to register.
When I uninstalled it, a web link was launched asking if I wanted to pay half-price in return for advertising it on my twatter page, or feacebook.
After declining to pay half price for somethign that was advertised as no-strings-attached-free I was then prompted to send an email to explain why I had uninstalled the product.
I took that option and told them that I was removing it because if the wording of the offer was being broken; I had no confidence that the product itself would function as they claimed either. I received a reply overnighjt apologising for the web link being incorrect, and with a new direct link the (correct, free) download. It downloaded and runs without problems, no registration required. Kudos to them
