Yes thats right, with your purchase of a new R1200GS /GSA
you will recieve Free panniers in the deal. this is to celebrate the success of the GS and to pass on a great saving to the end user.
There is also a deal to be had on the top box, where you also get the liners for both the top box and panniers at a discounted price.
So this is a great time to visit your local BMW dealer to take advantage of this great offer that runs from now till the end of September. :thumb2

just to clarify that this offer is not limited to one or two dealers

lmao.....the anniversary GSA does look very nice, i still swing to the Grey, the yellow is nice but horses for courses etc etc :thumb2

Oh brilliant.
Decided on one and committed to getting it organised before the end of May price increase. Damn. Screwed again.:blast

:blast....I did the same....

....but it's only for the panniers..not the complete luggage...

....so overall it's about the same....increase, against paying for panniers....same difference.

Ditto .. i collected my GSA just days before the price increase became efective.

... felt that luverly warm 'I beat the system' feeling until I read Kirky's post :blast

Of course Dainese Dave is right .. the price increase is largely offset by the inclusion of the free panniers although it is interesting to note that the price of the panniers has gone up around £20 per box

mmmmmm .. now I wonder how much discount my dealer will give me when I enquire about getting some panniers at the 600 mile service
:pullface

Might I ask what the increase was? Would like a full spec GSA.... to replace the one I must now sell in SA upon leaving....

Goose ... it depends on what options pack(s) you select but for example a fully specced pre-increase GSA with Premium & Dynamic packs was about £13460 whereas the new price has increased by £585 to £14045. New dealer supplied panniers (bike already has the racks fitted with the above options) will cost about £550 or less depending on your haggling skills.

Not much in it really unless you were after a GSA without the panniers in which case im sure the new cases would make a few bob on eBay to help offset the price increase.

Im looking to buy a pair if anyone gets the free set and doesnt want them .. the spondoolicks are burning a hole in my pocket hint hint :comfort

Goose,

Here you go,

Captain Slackbladder is pretty much spot on with how much the increase was and the cost of panniers.

We're told that there will be a further, albeit smaller, price increase for 2011 model year bikes (Sept 2010 production onward) to look forward to.

Paul
