Picked up on the lack of second key on this thread.

Ask Vines of Guildford to look in to it for me and yes. Vines sorted it and posted the new key to me.

Picked up my GSA yesterday from Vines - with a second metal Key and Plastic one as standard for all new ones that they sell!!

I don't know how you boys managed it I phoned NOG this morning to order a few small bits (including the top box enduro mounting kit as I don't fancy it flying off the back - a minute hair line mark has appeared where they seem to fail and was told simply to 'keep an eye on it' ) and remembering this thread - I mentioned the 'free' second key.
I was told that this was only happening with new bikes ordered. I bought mine new from them 18 months ago.

Asked at Williams about it when I took the bike in two weeks ago, second key supplied at same time as output shaft seal replaced, yesterday, FOC.

Just ordered a new (showroom) GSA and when I was looking at the bike with the keys the dealer said straight away that he will order a second metal key as they still only come with one key. He didn't need any prompting.

Just rang BVM after reading this thread and they are sending me a new key for free! Should arrive early next week..

Really weird BMW dont put a spare in as it clearly refers to a spare key in the manual.

You would expect this sort of thing for a cheapy scooter, but not for an 11k BMW!

Roy Pidcock BMW of Long Eaton sold me a new 1200 GS last year that was supplied with 2 Metal Keys and the Plastic "Emergency" key.

Same thing for me when I picked my new GSA up from Ocean

After loosing my keys recently I now carry the "Emergency" key with me

Luckily some passerby had picked them up and popped them into the local Police station. I arrived minutes later in the hope that they were there. What a relief to describe them and then for the Police Lady to smile and bring them out of a drawer

Good job as I don't know how Skye and I would have fitted on NOVICE's pillion seat
