Got this email yesterday from Ride Magazine if anyone is interested:
Hello
Here at RiDE we've teamed up with Avon to help them develop a new dual-sport tyre suitable for your bike – and we're looking for volunteers to be part of that process.
We're looking for an experienced GS Adventure rider with a 2006-20013 bike, ready to try two sets of tyres on their bike. You'll appear in the magazine and your feedback will help Avon fine-tune their new tyre to suit what you want from your tyres.
The first set to try will be the current tyres – we'd need you to join us at Bruntingthrope Proving Ground in Leicestershire on June 4. You'll get to use the tyres on the test circuit and give us an initial reaction. We'd then ask you to ride off with them and ride on them, as you normally would, for a couple of weeks and give us further feedback.
Then we'll meet back at Bruntingthorpe later in the year when the new tyre is ready. You'll get to test it before anyone else so you can see how much your feedback has shaped it, giving us your reaction to the new tyre.
If you want to take part in this exciting feature, please reply as soon as possible to confirm that you can be available on Wednesday June 4 at Bruntingthorpe. It'll be a 10:30am start, but we'll be finished by early afternoon.
If you could also tell us how long you've had your bike, which year it is, and how long you've been riding, that would be great. If you know what tyres you currently have fitted, that would be interesting too.
Best wishes
