Good cars.

Obviously, service history is most important, above mileage.

I'll let you know if I come across anything that might be of interest.

By some weird link, I ended up with a ticket to a launch weekend event at Solihull. I had a ride around the onsite test track in a 3 door semi-convertible which went everywhere it was meant to go offroad. Although I came to the conclusion that the 5 door 'estate' was a more practical vehicle. Probably the overriding memory of the day was finding a row of North American Spec V8 Defender 90's with the ignition keys in them. We seriously considered how far we'd get :D

My ex Brother In Law had an early 5 door manual diesel and he needed me to drive it home from a garage one time, and I remember thinking it hardly needed to be above tick over in traffic.

We ran a 2012 FL2 HSE auto for 3 years - a good solid motor from the Ford era, the lines still look good/clean 19 years on. With ours, the engine was a bit clattery when cold, 6-speed auto a bit dumb at times, Satnav terrible (box under drivers seat), but it did what it said on the box & proved utterly reliable. We sold it on when it reached C.90k.

My buddy bought a brand new manual of the same era & had nothing but trouble with it, mainly electronic gremlins. After techs from Solihull were unable to get it sorted satisfactorily, his dealer offered an attractive deal on a last of the line Metropolis auto that still remains his daily runner 10 years later. Residuals look pretty strong too, although very condition/spec/LRSR dependent, so I guess a broad idea of spec & budget might bring some definition to the search.

Great cars
Definitely worth investigating in Dinitrol or Lanoguard on the rear subframe tho, that's what often kills them but easy fix for an enthusiastic DIYer

Mine is being done next week, together with a bit of fettling on the performance to make towing a bit better.

Easily the most comfortable car I have ever owned and does everything and more for my fishing, shooting and caravan pastimes.

Mine was originally supplied direct from LR to Winston Churchill's Granddaughter ! Don't you know! :D Bought it in 2015 at a year old with 12k on it. Now got nearly 90k on it, 11 years later. Virtually trouble free, apart from the usual consumables.

An almost identical car saved Prince Philip from a sticky ending! I'd avoid this one, if it's back on the road! :yikes

Ideally an auto if anyone has one and glad to see they're well liked.

Nothing hiding anywhere that someone needs rid of?
