Can anyone recommend a freeview box that you run with the terrestrial TV arial.

I know there are a few out there but thats about all I know.

Daughter is fleeing the nest and needs budget TV entertainment !

If all you want is a bog standard Freeview box they are all much the same. Just go for the one you like the look of.

Note that they all need a good quality signal so an aerial upgrade may be needed anyway.

We have a Pioneer one with DVD-RW writer, hard drive and two tuners. It is very good but these days hardly gets used because Sky+ is so user friendly and reliable for recording.

I have a Humax Freeview HD Twin Tuner 500GB hard drive recorder and its great, easy to use and amazing picture quality. Had other makes in the past but Humax are by far the most reliable. Still have a non HD Humax going strong after 3 or 4 years constant use.

Have had a Humax twin tuner recorder for years too. Thoroughly recommended - the support and software updates are free and useful, EPG is also pretty good. :thumb2

I've never managed to get any sort of series link to work though.

Will be upgrading to the HD version next year when the signal arrives around here.

I have a spare Freeview box sitting here..
Unused since I finally got A Humax PVR for the guest bedroom..
Needs a scart lead,
Remote control and power leads are with it...
Easy to install, self seeks ect..

It's yours if you want it,:thumb2
I'll pack and post tomorrow if you OK it ..
Sid wont mind if you send him your address to give me, as I'm one of the REDS :D

BEST deal is the 9200 tb 320 gig for £106,, Full 12 months HUMAX warranty...
It's a superceded model BUT has a USB interface that the newer model doesn't plus it seems better made :thumb2

I have to act as his unpaid PA as he's too tight to pay his £12.

AND, I don't charge him storage for the Guzzi either...

Sid

I will happily pay his £12.00 subs AND offer free unlimited storage in my centrally heated and carpeted garage for the guzzi AND will not even charge to keep the battery fully topped up :green gri
