French Crit'Air sticker

Pretty sure you don't need vehicle cat or Euro standard (my V5 for a 2015 GSA has neither but I've had a crit'air so long you can barely read it).

Just fill out the other fields as prompted and enter not known where required but as someone up thread stated make sure you're using the English version (ie NOT Google translated) for vehicles registered abroad.

Right I’m out of ideas now. The only thing I can think of is that as the bike is an older model perhaps the info is different on the v5. So I’m stumped.

some of the form fields you are stressing over are not mandatory - the mandatory ones have a red asterisk - the AI will work out the missing ones for you from their own data tables

the only mandatory one with a name that varies from your v5 is the serial number, which is the VIN on your v5

have a cup of camomile tea and try again

I didn't think it was Steve trying to get the crit air...it was the OP, Jacksdad 63

Just send the V5 in….they will sort it out…like I said….and yes, you were whining..”another bloody cost we have to pay!”..😝IMG_6825.jpegIMG_6826.jpeg

I've just looked this up as I'd not heard that we need to have one.
I have ridden through France a large number of times since 2017 when this was introduced. I have not paid for said sticker,
Last September I rode through Strasbourg and Reims which are both on the list. No fines or even checked. Do you have to get this sticker even If you never travel into the cities on the list? 🫣

Good question and I was thinking similar myself... I'm just hoping it's like the congestion charge in London and it's only the innermost areas?

Only required if you are travelling into a controlled zone. The 1200 hexhead should come out as Crut'Air 3, which is currently the minimum stabdard for most controlled zones.
The zones are like Paris, inside the peripherique, Toulouse, again inside the peripherique, same for Lyon, etc
During periods of bad pollution, it will be tightened to Crit'Air 2, 1 and 0 only, which may become permanent.
If you are not heading, ever, into a controlled zone then you do not need one. Just nipping in for a ciggie, coffee, fill up the tank is nit accepted.
Fines are being dealt with automatically by NPR based systems, the French authorities and DVLA do talk to each other 😉

Well, I was going to try and search for their EURO rating for for you. It seems that you may be a vit sensitive though so I'll leave it.
Eeerrm, no. Both my bike have them.
I was trying to help the other chap

Just doing this now. It’s quite self explanatory really: 2012 GSA. Fuel:petrol. Vehicle type there is only one option for motorbikes and nothing noted under J vehicle category on my v5. Euro standard: again nothing on my v5 so continue, put reg in then next box says “Order my sticker” all done. What could possibly go wrong!

The only real ball ache was uploading images of my v5, said the size was to big and i had no idea how to re-size them, luckily we had a tech coming in this afternoon to sort something else out and he very quickly sorted the image sizing out so happy days (hopefully).
