Blimey, just found this French forum which seems to be pretty much the equivalent of our own site of pleasure............. It's a bit useless if you don't speak Froggy but bloody amusing if you do. More to the point, there is a section on touring routes in France with maps which might throw up some decent alternatives like this one as they are, by definition, recommended by the locals.

Then try these on Google:

What he's is saying is that by replacing the standard spark plugs - DCPR8EKC - with the equivalent iridium ones - DCPR8EIX - you get more torque, better throttle response at low revs, less vibration and better cold starting. Shitty translation but you get the idea.
