I personally love America and Americans in general,.....
However, as a chap nominally from North Yorkshire, I of course speak with perfect recieved pronounciation

, in fact my diction is so good I have to turn down job offers from Radio 4 on a daily basis.
Therefore certain things about the way people from the USA pronounce words offends me greatly!
For instance, there is definately a letter 'i' in the word Aluminium!
Repeat after me, AAAA Loooo Miin eeeee Um!
The next person who is foolish enough to say 'AA Loo Min Um' in my presence is likely to be submitted to a 'bully ramming' with a force and vehemence that belies my kindly, gentlemanly appearance!
