Moved to England (second time) in 2018. Bought an 04 R1200GS because I'd always wanted a GS, and it was a dream to ride. Couldn't take it back to the states, though, so I found a 95 1100GS. So far, I love it. That first gear is amazing, and I don't miss the 6the gear. Has a metal tank. ABS works fine, but admittedly I do miss the servo brakes. The aftermarket support isn't as great I guess, but I wasn't dumping tons of cash on the 1200 anyway. And I like being able to do most of my own work without having to buy a computer.
The bike is mostly stock, and rather low mileage at 27k. Looks to have been ridden a few hundred miles per year for the last several years. I'm doing the standard things like oil, gear box, and final drive changes. Not planning to seriously offroad with it. Stainless brake lines coming next. Also changing out fuel filter and pump, as it whines rather loudly. Anything I should look out for?
