Front brake lever operation erratic?.

Hello, recently my front brake lever is becoming harder to operate?. I have bled the brakes and greased the lever pivot but the action is still stiff.
I have been told it could be my ABS needs a bleed through or is failing due to age etc?.
I can give the lever a good squeeze which seems to soften the action but it can stiffen up when riding giving the feeling it not going to work.
Any ideas to the fault and to contact repairers if it the pump assembly?.
Ps, I have no warning lights to indicate faults.

Right, I was posting on the Hexhead section.
I ride a 1200GS TU 2010,, 26K abs asc ESA etc.

I might be talking bollocks, but, check the fluid level isn't too high in the M/c. I'm sure I've heard of fluid levels rising before if the abs unit is playing up
