I have an intermittant but persistent nuisance problem with the front brake light sticking on. I have stripped it out and cleaned it with commercial switch cleaner etc and the switch itself seems fine in that operating it by physically pushing the little lever and releasing it works every time. But when mounted in the lever assembly it will not operate consistently.

There doesn't appear to be any way to mechanically adjust its position to ensure that it is fully "closed" ie switch is off when the lever is released.

Is it time to phone Mr Sherlock for a new switch or have I missed something?

thanks
Nigel

Sherlock suggested lubing brake lever pivot (nice of them to not go straight to spend money option) Investigated Beermonsters suggestion but pivot point is v close to switch so not not viable(but thanks anyway) Realised that by pushing back of switch gently towards lever, the problem goes away so made a packer from length of folded cable tie to stop switch moving back. Why this should be a problem all of a sudden i have no idea.
