i'm in the process of trying to sort my front caliper problem out ,they are binding on and the last m.o.t he picked it up so tryin to sort it b4 the next test .now here comes the problem while checkin it out i noticed the caliper piston is made of some type of bakerlite/plastic and is very damaged where the pad goes in and the one piston is sticking causing the binding, and only seals are available !!! i have stripped it and re-assembled it but not much joy .Can any of you out there tell me if there are any other calipers readily available that will do the job and dont cost an arm and a leg :rolleyes:

Are you sure the pistons aren't available? They are shown in the Moto-Bins 2007/8 catalogue.

I have a 4 piston K series caliper that is now due to a new project is now surplus to requirements. This is machined and will bolt straight in place of your original caliper. I have used this caliper for the last 4 years, and used with a cast iron disk from PFM has provided a good increase in braking performance. Contact me on [email protected] if you are interested.

that looks like a standard brembo P9 caliper. should have teflon coated aluminium pistons.

if you can't get the bits from motorworks, try a guzzi dealer, but i have there might be some supply problems with some old brembo parts.

well have been on the phone to motoworks and they have sorted me out with the right bits !!
did try moto bins but no joy !!
so with any luck will have the bits to sort on the w/end ;)

even tho i have an 08 adv ,still like my little air head !!!!!
