Front discs not floating due to alu wheel corrosion

2004 R1200GS, front discs no longer floating due to corrosion of aluminium wheel expanding to fill the gap. Anybody fixed this without buying new discs and fixing bolts? I might try a large socket in my battery drill, switch it to hammer drill and put it over the fixing bolt so it rests on the disc fixing and buzz away for a minute to see what it does to the corrosion behind the disc BUT would like some feedback before I do it in case I have missed something

Remove discs and use a wire brush on the disc mounting points to clean off the corrosion.

You're likely to need a new set of wavy washers to replace the old knackered ones, if there are any left.
