I've ridden a couple of 1250 GSAs recently and have noticed the same type of wind noise coming from the front end. I tried a 1300 GSA demo and it may have had a simliar noise but less pronounced. My feeling is that it's the front tyre that's the cause and maybe the winglets are contributing also?

Just curious if anyone else has encountered this. It's from 20-60mph.

Any pointers?

Tyres Trev, my 1250gsa came with Bridgestones that were very noisy. Changed for Road6’s and it was silent. CTA’s are quiet too.

From someone who experienced this get rid of the anakees and switch to continentals trail attack 3s and it all goes away....you just have to listen the engine now

I found CTA 3s made noise too, although less than some others

I’ve had a few different adventure bikes and various different tyres and they’ve all had a certain amount of tyre noise, I think it’s just intrinsic to the type of bike

I’m lucky in that it doesn’t bother me in the slightest, I know some people find it very annoying

Just ignore it, it’s like wind noise or engine noise, it comes with riding a motorcycle

Dash infill panel didn't solve anything on my 1250 but new front tyre, Pirelly Scorpion Trail 2 did. 90% of noise disappeared.

I've just replaced my old tyres with new CTA3's, and the new ones are definitely noisier. Problem is, the old ones were also CTA3's...

It is what it is. Tune it out and forget about it.

My first 2014 R1200GSA lc was very noisy ( a combination of tyres and one other thing ?) , my r1250gsa is again fairly noisy .

My second 2018 model R1200GSA lc was at first very quite for a GSA until BMW put right the f*ck up they made of not fitting the sat nav prep that was paid for when it was ordered .

With no sat nav cradle fitted the air flow was I can only assume directed straight up the back of the screen with no interference and the tyre/road noise did not hit you in the face.

Once the BMW cradle was fitted it became noisier like every other one I have ridden

Coming from the 1150GS the first long trip I took with the 1200GS LC was a bit worrying, thinking there is something wrong because of the road noise. I now ride with ear plugs if it is a long ride. Some tyres are better than others but I think I found the cause, past few days I rode without the beak, I was doing some work on the front. Was significantly quieter and didn't need the ear plugs, Today I put the beak back and went for a 100 mile ride and noise is back.
