Front end noise..(1200GS)

I've noticed in the last few weeks a kind of rubbing/friction which seems to be coming from the front end somewhere..could be the forks when I turn into a corner either way...any ideas?

Has anything been changed at the front recently?.
Have you done a visual check for interference or loose fasteners?.

Had a look...

Nothing loose..nothing changed recently. Dealer seems to think its possibly wheels bearings..I'm gonig to pass by in the next few days to get it checked over..Cheers.

my R100gs did this for a while, when it was still new to me. never could trace it definitively. :nenau
checked all bearings, fastenings etc. from headstock to wheel, stripped out the brake pads too.
all i can think of - it might have been one (nice and loose - not binding :) ) brake pad just grazing the disc as the wheel was turned.

it went away as the miles clocked up - no noise now.
HTH.

Not too much in the front other than wheel & brakes...... :nenau
Wheel bearings or pads not releasing properly. Drilled discs "hum" when the pads are close.....
Check under your mudguard to see if you haven't picked anything up....... :nenau

Can you feel it through your feet? if so it could be boots or footpegs decking out :D

On a serious note have you tried lifting the front end off the ground & spinning the wheel, wiggling the forks & checking thr tightness of various nuts & bolts?
