How do the hose clips on the fork bellows come off - without ruining them? I bought a pair of hose clip pliers from Halfords but they don't seem right somehow.

I take it the hose clips are re-usable?

If you have BMW OE clips then the Halfords pliers won't fit.

I would cut them off and fit new ones personally. get the ones that fit your Halfords pliers.

Being BMW clips I'd suspect they are not reusable anyway.

Is it item #19 and #20 on this picture? As I was under the impression that they unlock and then you pivot them to get them off, ie not a jubilee type clip.

Yes John it is #19 & #20. I haven't tried too hard to lever them off but I think I'll just do as Val says and cut them off and fit new ones.

They just unlatch and come off.

They get a bit rusty but can be painted with silver smoothrite.

They are quite expensive (c. £10.00 each) so I'd think about salvaging them.

(I bought new ones :blast)

Thanks Bob - I'll try this first. :thumb2
