front shocker leak......whats are the options?

Yep, I had Wilbers on my GS for 32k before I wrapped the bike around a deer. They weren't WESA but assuming the shock internals are the same. Best riding and handling GS I have had....sublime two up. Over the mileage I had them serviced at about 15k ready for a big trip but have to say I was diapointed as I didn't really notice any difference pre and post service. Main thing is that they didn't let me down unlike 2 subsequent rear shocks on later bikes replaced under warranty. I would have preferred the money and bought Wilbers but nothing doing with BMW ....which is fair enough I suppose.

Anyway, the guys at Revs are great....but ensure you get your spec and Riding weight right ( weight with kit etc)

@APW, I met you at Revs as you were collecting your Panzer yesterday! I collected mine at the same point but opted to just take in and collect the shocks, rather than the ride-in-ride-out service. Sooooo, the big question, how was the ride back to sunny Warrington?
I'm off to Germany for the weekend, so am unable to even get a spanner and socket near my bike and get my shiny new WESAs back on, but it'll wait ...

Good to meet you, hope you're pleased.

Nice meeting you to Andy

Ok 1st impressions after my ride home.

My journey home from REV's took me up the M6 and over the rumble strip expansion joints I think we all have ridden over at some point on the non toll part of the M6 around Birmingham
it was here I had a play with the comfort/Normal settings of the ESA
and I could notice a big difference in these settings compared to my old std shocks.
In comfort mode these expansion strips where considerably smoothed out and not the harsh bumps they used to be.

The 2nd thing I noticed was the overall smoothness of the ride at slow speeds, I'm referring to the mundane 20/30mph stuff that we all have to do in traffic and in town.
at these slow speeds the bike just felt easier to manoeuvre, a sure footedness to the feel of the front end and knowing what it is doing.
the difference is quite impressive and positive

As for REV's.....well what can I say here
Nick and John :bow have 70+yrs of suspension experience between them.....these guys know what they are doing and a mine of information! :thumb

Hi Andy - sounds really promising, I can't wait to get mine back on. Glad you're impressed, I thought you might be. Your observations are exactly what I'm looking for.

The Revs guys are certainly very helpful and knowledgeable, very nice people to deal with. Defiantly recommended.

Servicing the suspension should not affect its performance. If it does it's being done too late.
