I have an very late 07 1200 (reg Feb 08) with 17k miles. The front timing cover is in a bit of a state with corrosion. Is it worth trying BMW to get a replacement or am I going to have to get the spray can out?

Cheers ER. I will be getting my 18k service soon so I will ask then. If that isn't fruitful then I will be mostly getting the spray paint out.
