Front wheel bearings removal help/tips please

why change them ? i got some 10 years ago , steptoe didn't know the numbers , i still have them , the bike is dead @142k
Well, the discs are fekked so I'm replacing them and I can feel a bit of a rumble now and again on the bearings so thought fekk it, at 93,000 miles, why not?

Edit: "you still have them"? What, new bearings? 🤔

I watched a bloke in a garage in about 1990 remove bearings for me with a sharpened drift rod and a big cross head workshop screwdriver... Drift up against the teeny lip of the bearing one side, the driver wedged hard in from the other... Still the simplest and most effective bike wheel bearing trick I have seen and used countless times since...

Last time I did the front bearings I poured hot water over the hub a few times before (iirc) drifting the bearings out. Certainly made things a little easier.
