Front wheel removal

Hi Lads,
Want to remove the front wheel and not sure on size of hex axle to get the spindle out ? I think its a 16mm but i dont have anything that big.
Is this a standard size please ? @fatbaldbob you might know
I thought this might do the job

How can anyone NOT have a 16mm, or bigger, spanner, socket, etc????

cos he is a cheapskate ,
i sent him the phone number of the local Snap-on man ,
but he claims not to be able to afford to put a foot inside , the mobile cave of shiny things .

 
Owned by Polaris, in the USA, so I'd imagine all sizes will still be imperial.

I use this mines 14mm, you can then put spanner on the square end, a bar through the hole or an appropriate socket. Just checked the Roadmaster too and it’s also 14mm.

A bit of research and it appears Indian are unique in having a 14mm spindle hex.

As a cheap skate I have used a bolt with two nuts locked together to do simular job.
