Front wheel removal

Have just removed my wheels for the first time to have some new Tourances fitted tomorrow.
All straightforward so far, but when re-fitting the front is it wise to put a dab of grease on the threads of the axle, and if so, is copperslip the right stuff to use?

I've just changed my front tyre Monday last. The axle was as dry as a bone, so I smeared grease all over it including the threads. You don't really need to use copperslip, but if it makes you happy...........
