my iPad has frozen on facebook how do I unfreeze it I have tried turning off and puting back on

Really ? From the Apple website:

' You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.'

if it's just facebook that's frozen, double click the home button and swipe facebook app off the screen.

otherwise do as polecat suggests.

i am a bit confused by OP saying that the ipad has been turned off then on. is that possible if it's frozen?
